2. EDUCATION

Workshops & Presentations

I'd be happy to hook you and friends up with scholarships and the inside scoop on paying less for college. I present to students, parents, and school staff at schools, homes, churches, and via webinars. Almost EVERY presentation begins with people pulling out their cell phones and signing up for scholarships immediately.

Presentation Topics

  • Go to College For Free (Case Study)
  • Choosing a College That Will Pay You Back
  • Avoid FAFSA & CSS Profile Landmines
  • Avoiding the Crushing Cost of College
  • Comparing College Aid Awards
  • Financial Award Negotiation Strategies
  • Pay Less with Tax Credits & Deductions
  • College & Career Fit Identification
  • The New SAT
  • The Inside Scoop on IVY League Admissions
  •  Selecting Colleges for Global Competitiveness

Topics can be about whatever you want or need.

I do sometimes work with students at schools to help them promote these scholarship programs. Being able to say, "I helped students at my school get $22 million in scholarships," looks great on college applications and resumes.

I usually do not wear a suit.

Scholarship Maximization Walk-Through Sessions

One of my biggest concerns is that parents, students, and schools are not taking advantage of the Scholarship Programs. So, I have opened my schedule for a limited number of free 15 minute scholarship maximization walk-throughs. We can meet via webinar or over the phone to make sure you get the largest scholarships possible. All I ask is that you share your story with me to possibly be included in the book.

Email, Facebook Group, Live Chat

Live Chat

I try to be as available as much as I can through email, Facebook Group, and live chat on this site in addition to holding "Scholarship Maximization Review" workshops, webinars and sessions.

Ask the Experts

I can also put you and your parents in touch with many of the Experts I've interviewed for my book. Some have volunteered to be very accessible in terms of answering questions. Contact me if you would like to be featured here or know someone who might be open to helping.

Sometimes you just need to hire someone to help. During the book research I started to meet some great people that I trust to help families. I also found lists of professionals and companies you may not be aware of. You and your parents can contact them through this website and interview them yourself. P.S. You may be able to earn extra College Scholarships when you work with them.

Paying Less for College.com is an amazing collection of resources for schools, guidance counselors, parents and students.
